Relaunch of Cyclone Fencing Brand for Smorgon Steel

This was our first client for BlueFrog Marketing. Awesome opportunity to work on a brand that had been in the Australian Market since the late 1800’s. BlueFrog created a brand new strategic plan that saw growth of over $9m in fencing sales in the first 12 months, winning a national award for marketing excellence along the way. Also during this project, we collaborated with Tim Curtis – a genius advertiser who created the ‘Better farms Start with Cyclone’ ad campaign that contributed to the success of our strategic marketing program. Working with Paul Taylor on this program was a dream start for Hunter running his own consultancy.

Smorgon Steel Great Scrap Roundup

Whilst working on the marketing at Smorgon Steel, we were very fortunate to meet with and work together with Lige Donald – the new GM – for several years. We worked on certain aspects of the Great Scrap Roundup from Hunter’s role in the rural team. The program was created by Lige and it was an honour to play a small part in some of the programs associated with it. The program ended up resulting in more than $1m in donations to the CFA and it was a remarkably successful program in returning old steel to the mill for recycling as well.

ALCODOL

Launch of ALCODOL for Biorevive

Our second big client was Biorevive – a business owned by Will Crothers. Hunter was engaged to research the potential markets for a new amino acid Hangover Preventative. Eventually chose pharmacy as the right channel for launch and then worked with Stuart Berrybrown – one of the best salespeople in the industry to take ALCODOL to the 3rd largest natural product launched in pharmacy that year. Also helped launch ORUL – an amino acid for mouth ulcers, but it will be the launch of ALCODOL and the fun around sponsoring the world’s longest lunch, getting national news airtime and establishing a strong sales and marketing team that Hunter remembers most from this project.

Melbourne Brick Marketing Plan

We were very fortunate to be referred to Matt by Cameron McLean – who we had met at Smorgon Steel. Matt has now been a client for over 8 years. And we are very proud of the marketing work we’ve done on this brand. Melbourne Brick is the leader in it’s category and with Matt’s enthusiasm and our marketing work, we’ve created and implemented some enormously successful marketing campaigns including the ‘More pavers than you can poke a brick at’ campaign which won us 2 Victorian and 2 National AMI awards.

Insurance Advisernet Australia

We were referred to IAA by a friend who worked there as a regional manager. IAA is definitely one of our favourite clients and we’ve been fortunate to work on some exciting marketing plans over the past 4 years, including developing our first RAPID MARKETING CENTRE – a DIY tool for local and small business marketing. IAA is an awesome client who values the marketing process as part of their business and we are proud to work for them on their strategic marketing.

We’ve worked on the strategic marketing for ALTUS for a few years now, and it is an awesome brand to work on. Starting with customer surveys and market assessments, we’ve worked on a number of projects to assist in the outbound communication for this brand. The founder, David Lundberg is an inspiring client who is constantly seeking to challenge himself and the business to grow and to deliver an ethical and customer focussed service. ALTUS is a market leading business that is truly unique compared to the competition.

Resilium

RESILIUM

In the past 18 months or so, we have developed an integrated system of resources for the AR network of Resilium which is the general insurance division of Suncorp Bank. This system ranges from a custom D.I.Y. RAPID Marketing Centre featuring a range of videos, tools and resources for any of the Resilium AR’s to write their own plan. We’re also providing personal coaching of the AR’s that need some help with their plans and also a full DO IT FOR ME service for selected AR’s within the network.

MELBOURNE BRICK

Melbourne Brick have now been a client of ours for over 12 years. In that time, our marketing mix has changed dramatically which is evidence of changing market conditions and the need to stay on top of what marketing works. Back in 2004 it was a strategy based around print advertising, trade promotions and other core activities. Today, we have one of the leading websites for traffic in this market segment, a strong presence on multiple radio stations, email marketing to existing customers and social media. Melbourne Brick continues to be recognised as a leading brand in the retail segment for landscaping products including bricks, pavers, retaining walls, grass & turf, stone products and landscaping.
